Grab your coffee and pull up a chair because I have something to share with you today. There’s room for you at this table, friend. Comm’on over…

Drop by drop that coffee bean-infused water perks and the inviting aroma fills the entire room. Beckoning you to awaken your sleepy mind and warming your insides with a comforting hug. 

As you sip your blessed beverage, allow your mind to entertain the concept of “a drop” in terms of measurement… 

We often measure liquids in these terms. Just add a drop of vanilla extract to the recipe or a few drops of water to the dough. Even though a drop seems minuscule in comparison to a cupful; in its own way, it’s absolutely enough to make a difference. 

Now, let us ponder this concept in terms of our spiritual lives, friends. How could accepting a drop of grace change the recipe of your current situation?

 The refreshing truth is that grace is unmerited favor so we don’t have to earn it. It’s a free gift from our Creator and He longs for us to acknowledge our need for Him and accept His free gifts like salvation, forgiveness, grace, love, provision, etc.

Personally, I must set aside my pride and be vulnerable enough to admit to myself and to my Father: “Lord, I regret thinking this way” or “Lord, I feel ashamed for letting those words flow from my heart and into my language”…. what a weight lifted to lay those burdens down at His feet. But, first, I must get out of my own way. So often, my despair is a result of my delayed obedience 😌

 He tells us in Matthew 11:28 to come to Him when we are weary and overwhelmed, He yearns to give us rest (grace, mercy, peace). 

Have you acknowledged what drops of goodness your Master has bottled up for your benefit? 

How can you ask for and accept your portion of His promises over your life today? 

Through the Holy Spirit, I pray that these drips of truth are hydrating for your soul.
