Marketplace Ministry
Marketplace ministry is when you minister to others during the course of everyday life. Maybe you are a barber, baker, entrepreneur, attorney, salesperson, stylist, physician, homemaker, or whatever.
You encounter others, and when you show them love. You are ministering to them. It might be that you are spiritually ministering or it might be that you are being the hands and feet of Jesus in other ways. Maybe you help people get homes, cars, or needed services. Maybe you donate time or resources. Maybe you treat people well to show them that they are loved. It is all an element of marketplace ministry.
It doesn't matter what your title is. Wherever you encounter others, that is your mission field.
Many Forms of Love
Love comes in many forms. We are talking about Agape love. It is a selfless love that does good without want of a return. It is doing the right thing because it is the right thing.
You may show love by going above and beyond to help a client. Love is a verb. It may be shown in volunteering talent, resources, or finances. It may be as simple as a smile. A smile goes a long way to someone who doesn't have one.
Another important form of love is grace. There are times when, even with the best intentions, we fail. We are greedy, demanding, hurried, and impatient. We are human. When those situations happen, Agape love would have you show grace to others and even to yourself.
Jesus
There are times during your daily routine when someone may see Jesus in you. You may even be blessed with the opportunity to share Jesus with someone else and make their eternity better.
Some of you may not be Christians. You may not be a part of any religion or you may be part of a non-Christian group. You are welcome here. As long as what you do in giving, serving, or loving honors the character of Jesus, "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Connection Makers - Make a difference!
We could tell you story after story about marketplace ministry. The monies donated to charity, the employees that were given time to serve, and the hands-on sharing of love with those in need. Plus, there are times when marketplace ministers serve as mentors, go above and beyond for clients, or make sacrifices to serve others. The times they shared Jesus with someone else. If you think about it, most people spend more time at work than they do with their families. It is a vital ministry.
How weekly spotlights will showcase marketplace ministers and how they serve.
